Art Elements

The students in Years 1 and 2 started the year off learning about the art elements of line, value and texture. They have created a mixed-media ice-cream piece showing off these art elements.

Students listened to classical music as they used watercolour paint and their knowledge of lines to create an abstract background. They painted ice-cream scoops, showing their knowledge of value, with acrylic paint and created a waffle cone with implied texture. 

Their art pieces look good enough to eat!
