As October draws to a close and the weather warms up towards summer, I am reminded of the goodness of God through every season. As the Chaplain here at ACC, I am used to the rhythms and routine of the school year. The changing of the school uniforms from summer to winter and now back to summer, the termly fatigue that builds towards the excitement of holiday rest, and the build-up towards Presentation Nights and end-of-term assemblies, are but a few of the regular patterns of school life I’ve gotten used to. How easy it is to take these regular changes for granted. We all experience seasonal changes in life, just as we experience them in the weather. Through every change and renewed beginning, I am grateful to the God who holds me in times of change, whether routine or not, and who has grace for me in every season. My prayer for you, as we move quickly towards the end of the year, is that you would experience the presence of God in whatever season you find yourself in. That you would know the goodness of God, and allow Him to refresh you in this time.
God bless you.
