Fun Water Day

During week 2 we had a fun water day. I sent a message out on Seesaw, requesting help, and within an instant, our amazing parents provided us with a pool and slide, waterslide, bubble machine and paddling pools. Our students had loads of fun. And for those who preferred not to swim, there was the option to play in the sand or ride on a bike. We ensured we did it early in the morning to avoid the expected heat wave.

A huge thank you to our amazing Room 2 parents and Education Assistants for supporting me in this. From coming early to set up the pool and slide, to organising a split on the tap so we could run two hose pipes, sorting out a pool that ran empty, to helping to get the children dressed afterwards. Without their help, it would not have been so successful.

To add to the fun, we had a little home economics lesson, dipping our marshmallows into melted chocolate and sprinkles.

And what would a heat wave be without ice lollies? It was a great way to help us cool down in the afternoon.

To end the day, we celebrated Finn and Alester's birthdays with cupcakes. So FUN DAY turned out to be great fun.
