Students in Years 1 and 2 have been learning about Bronwyn Bancroft, the artist, and how she brings Australian landscapes to life with rich colours and patterns. Bronwyn is a talented Aboriginal Australian artist, administrator, and book illustrator. She was born in Tenterfield, New South Wales in 1958 and is a proud Bundjalung Woman who has been exhibiting her work both nationally and internationally for over three decades.
Students learnt how to correctly set out a landscape, including a background, middle ground and foreground. They used acrylic paint to create their landscapes and used paint pens to create their patterns.
Well done everyone!!!
