Our Year 3 students have been exploring the beauty and precision of mandalas in Visual Arts this term. They are learning how to create intricate radial designs using compasses and fine liners, carefully focusing on balance and symmetry.

Additionally they have added vibrancy by using oil pastels combined with a watercolour wash, experimenting with resist techniques to make their patterns stand out. These projects encourage both creativity and patience, as students work step by step to build their designs. Through this process, they are developing fine motor skills, understanding symmetry, and discovering how art can express both structure and imagination.
