Meet Jade Baker

Jade is excited about joining the team at ACC Darling Downs as Deputy Principal in Term 3.

Jade has been working at the Southlands (Albany) campus of Australian Christian College for over twelve years. For the last five years, she has enjoyed serving in a leadership position as the Head of Secondary. Prior to this, she taught and developed curriculum for the English and Humanities learning areas across Years Seven to Twelve. Jade has extensive connections within the ACC network, and passionately upholds the ethos that ACC students should be well known, well taught and well loved.

Jade has implemented a range of initiatives to develop a positive school culture, including student leadership programs, pastoral care systems and the development of whole school events. She has led teams of student volunteers in overseas mission projects, developed partnerships within the local community and worked with staff to improve student learning outcomes.

Jade and her husband have three almost grown children and their family loves travel and camping. Jade is really looking forward to moving up to the metropolitan area and serving the school community at Darling Downs.
