We have been privileged to welcome some exceptional new staff to our school this year. We have been so impressed with their fresh new ideas and enthusiasm for our school.
Feranmi Taiwo is our new Chaplain. He has a wealth of experience working in both schools and churches, and he is passionate about seeing young people find purpose and resilience in their lives.
Talitha Hewitt is one of our Kindergarten and Pre-primary teachers. She is experienced in working with younger primary students, and has even taught up north and in the goldfields. We are very pleased that Talitha has joined our school.
Nico Van der Merwe is our new Year 4 and 5 teacher, plus Mr Van der Merwe is teaching Primary Physical Education lessons. Mr Van der Merwe has a wealth of experience, and is passionate about seeing young people thrive physically, academically, socially and spiritually.
Deborah Parker has joined our school from the ACC Southlands campus. She is extremely experienced, having worked in various capacities in a number of schools. Deborah will be teaching across our primary and secondary school, and we are particularly excited about her innovative ideas for the Technologies and Service learning areas in our secondary space.
Paul Walker is our new Science teacher. Paul is very experienced, having worked in a number of Christian schools over many years. Paul loves Chemistry and Physics, and has taught these subjects at the ATAR level. Our students have particularly enjoyed Paul’s ‘dad jokes’ as they have gotten to know him.
Sarah Cousins has joined our administration team. Sarah has worked in schools for many years and is experienced in school administration. Sarah is very kind and patient, and our students and teachers have already benefited from her calm manner in caring for the workings of our school community.
Amelvina Hunzwi and Jeanette Howard have joined our Education Assistant team, focusing on Pre-Primary and Kindergarten. We have loved Amelvina’s joyous energy, and Jeanette’s calm and steady support as we have welcomed our youngest ACC students to 2025.
