Optical Art

This term in Art, students in years 3 and 4 have been learning about optical art. Optical art, commonly known as opt art, is a captivating sytle of visual art that plays with our perception and creates mesmerizing effects.

They have also been revising their knowledge of colour theory and learning about how the colour wheel organises colour. Students were challenged with the task of creating an optical art piece that also captured the primary, secondary and tertiary colours found in a colour wheel.

Their optical art wheels look amazing!
