Public Speaking Competition

Two of our Year 6 students, Dominic and Rose, proudly represented ACC Darling Downs at the 2025 Oakford Primary School Public Speaking Competition. Demonstrating confidence, clarity, and poise, both students delivered their speeches with enthusiasm and purpose.

Speaking on the topic “My Dream Job of the Future,” Rose shared her aspiration to become a criminal lawyer, passionately explaining her desire to help others and stand up for justice. She also spoke about her goal to do pro bono work—offering her services for free to those who cannot afford legal help—in order to fight against injustice and make a positive difference in the community.

Dominic spoke about his dream of modifying and improving e-bikes, combining his love for innovation, technology, and sustainable transport. He also shared his goal of making e-bikes more accessible for people with disabilities, ensuring everyone can enjoy the freedom and independence they offer.

Their creative thinking, engaging delivery, and confidence impressed both the audience and the judges. Not only were they fantastic public speakers, but they were also exceptional ambassadors for our school. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they upheld our school values throughout the event. Well done, Dominic and Rose!
