Year 9 and 10 Options
We are very excited for our Year 9 and 10 students as they trialled and chose their option classes for the year. We are looking forward to seeing our students enjoy our new Media Arts, Physical Recreation, Performance Music and Drama classes - watch this space as we share their progress over the year!
Year 9 Technologies
Mrs Parker has had a great first lesson in Year 9 Technologies learning about product research and prototyping and how to apply this to the making of a wearable object. In Design and Technologies students learn about technologies in society through different technologies contexts (Engineering principles and systems; Food and fibre production; Food specialisations; and Materials and technologies specialisations) as they create designed solutions. The students worked in small groups to research ideas, evaluate market trends, and apply a new paper folding technique to their research resulting in a prototype model. We are looking forward to future investigations in food and fibre contexts, cooking, and the production of an individual hoodie design this term.
Year 9 and 10 Life Skills
Life Skills has started with some very practical ‘adulting’ skills. Mrs Burham taught students how to make the perfect cup of tea, and students practised preparing decaffeinated black tea and peppermint tea. Parents of Year 9 and 10, put your feet up and ask your students to test out their new skills by treating you to a cuppa!

Year 7
Year 7 students have had a positive start to their highschool experience. I have heard students saying that they have enjoyed making new friends, that their teachers are great and they like changing teachers throughout the day. We are delighted with our newest highschoolers, who have started their journey positively. Well done, Year 7!
