As part of Australian Christian College Darling Down’s commitment to keeping our students safe online, we invited ThinkUKnow speakers to deliver a presentation on building positive relationships between children, young people, and the police. and to teach students the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe.

On October 18 and 19, a Constable from the Armadale Police District presented 45 minutes to each class, educating students on the importance of keeping their information safe and asking trusted adults for help and guidance. Each presentation, tailored to the age of the students, included short video clips. Students had opportunities to ask questions and clarifications.

Parents were also invited to attend a separate presentation on October 18. About 20 parents from our school community attended, and the speakers explained how technology is impacting the younger generation. They also walked through specific ways that parents can keep children safe online. We will schedule another ThinkUKnow presentation for parents and carers early next year.
