This term, Year 1 students have been exploring the beautiful world of flowers through the art of Georgia O’Keeffe. We’ve studied her bold, colourful, and oversized flower paintings and used them as inspiration for our own artwork. Students have learnt about important art elements such as colour, shape, line, and detail, while experimenting with techniques like drawing, colour blending, and choosing colours to show emotion.

They have also learned how to talk about art using vocabulary such as artist, painting, and feeling. It has been a joyful journey of creative expression, and we are so proud of their thoughtful, vibrant work!
