We've Got Worms

ACC Darling Downs Year 7 students participate in a period of service every Tuesday after recess. One group decided, as part of their service project, to make a worm farm so that we could produce worm tea (fertiliser for our plants).

The worms and the collection of their “food” have become the talk of the school. All the pre-primary learners want to touch the worms, and the older learners are filling our special worm food bin with their apple cores, banana peels and the like.

What started as a service lesson is turning into a fun school-wide endeavour.
