This term, our Year 3 students have been learning how to classify living and non-living things based on observable features. They’ve been exploring how plants and animals are alike and different.
As part of our science project, the students planted an edible garden! They sorted the seedlings into herbs and vegetables and carefully spaced them in the planter boxes. Everyone worked together to ensure the plants were properly cared for, with attention to the right depth and compacted soil.
Some of the seedlings, like the floppy herbs, are a bit delicate, but we’re excited to see if they’ll grow strong with regular watering. The teamwork and enthusiasm in Room 4 have been fantastic, and we can’t wait to see how our garden progresses!
