Year 7/8 CoRE Excursion

As part of our CoRE program, the year 7 and 8 class had an excursion to Kings Park and the Perth Mint. The focus for this excursion had two parts:

  • Investigating native botanicals of different regions of WA

  • The influence of Gold from WA - past, present and future.


It was a warm day of exploring and recording. Student highlights included the one tonne gold coin for Queen Elizabeth, watching the gold bar be smelted and repoured, the DNA tower, and the Glass Bridge.

Their findings will be presented as part of CoRE Secondary Townhall on Tuesday 28th November.
